In San Francisco, bubble tea shops concentrate near universities and in Asian business districts and stay open late, while tea rooms keep afternoon hours and often close on Mondays. Across California, juice and smoothie bars are typically found near gyms and grocery stores and are busiest in the morning and after work. Check the listing for hours, whether the shop offers dairy-free or sugar-free options and its Google rating, and expect a short wait at popular boba shops on weekend evenings. Many chains offer mobile ordering and loyalty stamps that add up quickly for regulars.

San Francisco is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Traffic in San Francisco peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Visiting San Francisco for the first time from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This has been by far one of my favorite stops on my trip. I got to sample a wide variety of teas and learned about the various regions that they came from. The gentleman there was so informing and welcoming and not once did I feel pressured to buy anything (although I happily purchased what my suitcase could carry). I will definitely be returning on future visits and this was one of the spots that made me sad I wasnβt a local.

One of my favorite SF visit highlights! We stumbled upon this place accidentally, and ended up spending over an hour tasting delicious teas. It was SUCH a blast and very educational. βKenny Aguilarβ made the experience so much more fun! We had such a great experience and will be coming back every time we come to SF!

walked by and saw free tea tasting/education - the owner is so kind and knowledgeable and took some time with a young boy who is a tea lover getting him all set up with his cups and tea to take home, and wrapped everything with care and took a photo with him. it such a great spot to relax and learn about tea. took home a few cute cups, too!

A tea lover's dream. Uncle Gee's family is one I am happy to be apart of. FYI, there are two locations right next to each other. You may walk by one on the way to the other. If so, peek in, look for Uncle Gee, and older gentleman - that's who you want serving you tea.

It was a great tea tasting experience. The person serving us was friendly and very open to share tea and information about the varieties we were trying. The place is cozy, has a bathroom and many seats. If you are around Chinatown is definitely a great experience to have. Prices are reasonable and there are many varieties
